2008 Plant Dane! Matching Grant Program
The 2008 Plant Dane! Matching Grant Program deadline is 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 16,
2007. Click below for an application.
Grant recipients will be notified in January and required to attend a mandatory workshop
on rain gardens in February 2008. Grant recipients will receive an order form, which is
due the day of the mandatory workshop with a check for half of the amount of their plant
order. The Plant Dane! Matching Grant Program is possible through gift from the
Graham-Martin Foundation.
This is the fourth year of the Plant Dane! program. In 2005, a $150,000 gift initiated the
Plant Dane! Grant Program, a native plant and seed grant program coordinated by the Madison
Area Municipal Storm Water Partnership (MAMSWaP) and Dane County. The grant program provides
a match for schools, nonprofit organizations and for individuals.
Homeowners, schools and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for a grant of plants
or seeds to establish rain gardens or prairies in 2008. Municipalities and businesses are
not eligible. Grant recipients are required to attend a workshop as a stipulation to receive
the seeds or plants. Grants will be awarded in the form of plants and seeds. No cash awards
are given. Projects must be completed in 2008.
Questions should be directed to Sarah Krahn, Graham-Martin Foundation, 608-226-2553,
